The UNIVERSAL family represents the latest generation CMM. Ideal both for traditional point-to-point measurements and for the most advanced scanning cycles both in contact and with Laser technology. The exceptional structural rigidity of the UNIVERSAL series makes it particularly suitable for the use of 5-axis scanning systems and for the measurement of gears and toothed wheels. The features are specifically designed to reduce the number of parts, simplify construction, and reduce maintenance costs and times.
The Coord3 UNIVERSAL series integrates, for the first time on the market, the automatic thermal compensation system with wireless technology. The system, fully automatic, dynamically corrects errors caused by variations in ambient temperatures in the temperature range 16-26°C. Moreover, the use of high-resolution optical lines (0.1 μm) devolved from the support, avoid distortions induced by the deformations of the main structure.
To allow the installation of a CMM with high dynamic performance in production environments, the UNIVERSAL series can be equipped with an environmental monitoring system.

Equator™ gauging system, The Equator gauging system enables process control by delivering highly repeatable, thermally insensitive, versatile and re-programmable gauging to the shop floor.
To control manufacturing processes on the shop floor, gauges have been used for decades, for example sets of calipers, go / no-go gauges or bore gauges. With advances in manufacturing, the need for new process control methods is increasing.
The Equator system is a flexible gauge, designed to provide speed, repeatability and ease of use for manual or automated applications, which is why hundreds of manufacturers worldwide are replacing their current gauging method with Equator systems.
Organiser™ is the user-friendly software that shop floor operators use to control the Equator gauging system, with little or no training. A customized user interface is created for each part and inspection is started with just one operation.
Process Monitor shows the history of feature measurements and proportion of tolerance for each feature. It enables shop floor management of the mastering process according to temperature, time or number of parts measured. Data from Equator can be used to update tool offsets, compensating for the effects of tool wear and thermal drift during the machining process.
